Date: 07/06/2018    U.S. Mortgage Foreclosures Fall to 11-Year Low

American mortgage borrowers are doing better now with their loan payments than they have in the past 11 years, according to data from CoreLogic. Only 0.6% of all home loans were in any stage of foreclosure as of March 2018.That's the lowest level since June 2007. Mortgage delinquencies have also declined, with just 4.3% of all mortgages past due by 30 days or more, down from 4.4% the year before. Rising home equity and an improving employment scene are both factors in reducing mortgage defaults and late payments.
