S&P Closes At A New 5 Year High

Mortgage News > S&P Closes At A New 5 Year High
Date: 01/18/2013    S&P Closes At A New 5 Year High

Standard and Poor (S&P) ended the day yesterday at a 5 year high; closing points were 1,480.95, up 8.32 points, 0.6%.

USA Today reported Andrew Wilkinson, chief economist strategist at Miller Tabak, as attributing the surge in points to added confidence in current housing statistics.

Wilkinson went on to say that "a spreading recovery will overflow into broader consumption habits and further permeate the economy. We think the economy is set for a great 2013 and the stock market looks set to break higher."
